When you’ve changed. You’ll know you changed because your response is different. Instead of being swept away by the pattern you’ll see it and get the opportunity to make a different choice and you will.
One of the greatest awarenesses I discovered is how to use challenges and obstacles as fuel to build myself up. This ability is like a super power.
Understanding that life shapes itself using patterns is the key to change. Being aware of how life is created using patterns helps us connect better with the usefulness of taking time to reflect, getting a clear picture of the vision we have for our lives, and setting intentions.
Now that we have a better understanding about why it's often difficult to build a new habit, stay consistent with a new idea, or even get started with our self-care routines - let's talk about how we can use this information to hack our subconscious intentionally.
One thing I've discovered on my self-care journey is that simplicity is often undervalued and overlooked. We sometimes think we need a bunch of time, tools, skills, and strength to invite more wellness into our lives. Not true. Use what you have - you.
An elder once said to me - "I'm just trying to get through the day." This was the way she lived her life and its the way many people in her generation do live their lives. They've seen so much trauma and felt so much pain they learned to tune it all out and get through the day as a way to cope. I inherited some of that as well.
So what does it look like when we abandon ourselves. For everyone it's different.
How does the brain rebel - It creates doubt - it brings to your recollection all the mistakes you’ve made, all the times you’ve tried and failed, it may even question your ability because it has no point of reference for this new vision in the 3D world.
Obstacles can keep us from getting to the more we seek or they can strengthen us on the way to reaching more.
So how do we get past that feeling? I wish there was an easy button I could offer you. But the truth is just the fact that I’m bringing this to your attention and we’re talking about this is elevating your consciousness about how tricky the mind can be and the subtle tactics it uses to keep you from making changes.
You could say research is about seeing and then taking the time to understand what you see. How can we know what to change or what's getting in our way if we don't understand what our patterns mean.
When we talk about research we are talking about researching first ourselves. We do have to know where we are and more importantly who we are to get where we are going.
The moment you realize you deserve more is the moment you may also realize some changes have to be made to get more.
