Consultation
The firs step to getting Sisterlocks installed is to schedule a consultation. During the consultation we will discuss the process in detail and answer any questions you may have.
- Come with loose, clean, natural hair.
- Test locs will be installed so you can get an idea of what the locs will look and feel like.
- Once you decide Sisterlocks are right for you - you will need to leave a $400 deposit to hold the date.
- The process can take from 2-3 days for a total of 15-30 hours depending on the density and length of your locs.
Sisterlocks vs. Microlocks
- Sisterlocks are meant to be installed without extensions - even though there are those out there who will install small interlocks with extensions and call them Sisterlocks. Microlocks can be done with or without extensions.
- Both Sisterlocks and Microlocks are done using the interlocking method.
- Microlocks can be done with an interlocking method at the top and braid or twist method at the bottom.
- Microlocks tend to bunch more when they are done using the twist method at the bottom. Bunching is when a bump shape happens along the shaft of the loc as the hair starts to mat (form into a loc shape). Loc Sculpting can be done to correct this.
The Cost
- The cost of Sisterlocks starts at $1650 for the first 4 inches of hair and $50 for each additional inch.
- A $400 deposit is required to hold the dates.
